Term Definition: implementation subsystem |
|
Main Description
A collection of components
and other implementation subsystems used to structure the implementation model by dividing it into smaller parts. Note that in the RUP, the
implementation model and the implementation subsystems are the target of the implementation view and are, therefore, of primary importance at development time.
It is the physical analogue of the design package. The name "implementation subsystem" reflects a common usage of the term "subsystem" to indicate something
of a larger scale than a component. In UML terms, however, it's a stereotyped package, not a
subsystem. |
